Supporting Health, Hygiene and Family Connections
The South African Red Cross Society (SARCS) Musina Branch continued its humanitarian efforts at the Men’s Shelter, providing essential support and services to vulnerable migrants.
The team distributed hygiene packs and promoted Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) practices, sharing important messages on personal hygiene, safe water handling, sanitation, and disease prevention. Nutrition students also supported the initiative by conducting basic health assessments, including taking vital signs and measuring individuals’ weight and height.
Through Restoring Family Links (RFL) services, SARCS volunteers assisted individuals to reconnect and communicate with their families and loved ones, helping restore important connections during challenging times.
Through health promotion, dignity, and family connection, SARCS continues to stand with vulnerable communities and ensure that no one is left behind.
