Strengthening Communities Through RCCE Activities

The South African Red Cross Society (SARCS) Musina Branch volunteers, together with Nutrition students, conducted Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) activities within the community. The team engaged directly with community members, sharing important information on relevant health and humanitarian issues.

Through awareness and education, the team promoted positive health and safety practices, encouraged informed decision-making, and strengthened community participation. Community members were also given an opportunity to ask questions, receive guidance, and access accurate information about available support and services.

These activities demonstrate the importance of working together with communities to build knowledge, promote healthy behaviours, and empower individuals to make informed decisions that contribute to their wellbeing and resilience.
