SARCS Partners with Phutholoha TV to Amplify Humanitarian Work in the Free State

Bloemfontein, Free State – [2026/01/09]

The South African Red Cross Society (SARCS) is pleased to announce a new partnership with Phutholoha TV following a successful interview with Ms. Claudia Mangwegape, Free State Provincial Manager, earlier today.

During the engagement, SARCS and Phutholoha TV formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening media coverage and public awareness of the humanitarian work carried out by SARCS across the Free State Province.

The partnership will enable comprehensive and consistent coverage of SARCS programmes, including disaster response, health and care initiatives, community resilience projects, and volunteer-driven interventions. Through this collaboration, communities will gain greater visibility into the life‑saving work delivered by SARCS and improved access to information on available services and opportunities to get involved.

Ms. Mangwegape highlighted the importance of strategic media partnerships in advancing humanitarian action, noting that transparent and regular communication is essential to building public trust and mobilising community support.

SARCS looks forward to working closely with Phutholoha TV to ensure impactful storytelling that reflects the needs, voices, and resilience of communities served throughout the Free State.
