Humanitarian Support Delivered to Communities in Pienaar
Today, the South African Red Cross Society provided much-needed humanitarian assistance to affected communities in Pienaar, in collaboration with law enforcement and the City of Mbombela.
The response included the distribution of food parcels and mattresses to identified households, aimed at addressing immediate needs and restoring dignity to vulnerable families. In addition to material support, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) services were offered to households identified as requiring emotional and psychological assistance.
This coordinated response reflects the importance of multi-stakeholder collaboration in ensuring effective, people-centred humanitarian action. SARCS remains committed to supporting communities through integrated relief efforts that address both physical and psychosocial needs.
