Disaster Assessment Update | Maluti Area

Today, a disaster assessment was conducted in Mafube Village, located within the Maluti area, following the incident that occurred last week. The assessment revealed significant damage to several homes, particularly to roofs and windows.

While some households have started making repairs, many families are still temporarily covering broken windows with cardboard boxes as they wait for assistance.

The number of affected households has now increased to 75 families, and there are additional affected areas that are still to be assessed.

The most severely impacted communities are Maluti Township and Motsekuwa Village, where some families have been left without shelter due to the complete destruction of their homes and structures.

The assessment process will continue tomorrow to ensure all remaining affected areas are reached and their needs properly identified.

We remain committed to supporting the affected communities during this difficult time.
