After Care Programme Making a Difference in Uitenhage
The South African Red Cross Society Uitenhage Branch recently conducted an After Care Programme aimed at supporting learners with their academic development. The activity focused on assisting children with their homework and promoting literacy through a dedicated reading corner.
Key Highlights
The programme recorded encouraging learning outcomes, especially among younger learners. One inspiring moment was a five-year-old learner who confidently counted up to 50 and showed the ability to continue even further!
This achievement reflects the positive impact of early childhood learning support and reinforces the importance of providing safe, nurturing spaces where children can grow academically and socially.
