World AIDS Day 2018 – “Know your Status”

By November 26, 2018 No Comments

South Africa has the biggest HIV epidemic in the world, with more than 13.1 percent of society living with HIV/AIDS, according to a 2018 Stats SA report. The number has  increased from an estimated 4.25 million in 2002 to 7.52 million in 2018.

Commemorated on 1 December each year, governments and all sectors of society join hands on World Aids Day to raise awareness and show solidarity for the global fight against HIV and AIDS.
