SARCS Western Cape hosts Board Members

Western Cape Staff and the board embarked on a tour of the Fire Sensor Program (FSP). The Fire Sensor program in Khayelitsha worked with a 1000 households to alert the community members about fires. The South African Police Service joined the SARCS team to see the project as they have partnered on previous projects together. The FSP was designed around behaviour change of people when working with fire. The Board members visited the local garden project for food security and Early Childhood Development Centre in Nyanga. Sinobomi Day-Care Centre looks after 37 children from impoverished families in and around Nyanga.
