Why should you become a volunteer?
We greatly appreciate and applaud you as you take your first step in serving humanity. This fight for humanity cannot be done alone and the Red Cross always requires great people like yourself to assist us in our endeavour to alleviate human suffering.
The process of becoming a volunteer?
You will be interviewed by a Red Cross staff who will identify your interests and strengths to deduce the best volunteer programme for you.
By being a volunteer you will attend a dissemination at your local Red Cross Branch to understand the fundamental principles of the Red Cross and collect your Volunteer Pack.
Volunteer services vary according to the area in which you choose to volunteer.
Time and commitment from a volunteer?
The time and commitment required of a volunteer is dependant on the volunteer programme you will be apart of. Red Cross appreciates your valuable time that you spend with us and thus assist and accomodate all our volunteer time schedules.
Age of volunteers?
All adult volunteers must be 18 years old. School children and youth they can join or peer education groups peer link.
