PROVINCIAL MANAGER

ROLE:                                                           Provincial Manager.

LOCATION:                                                  x1 Gauteng and x1 Limpopo.

REMUNERATION:                                     Negotiable dependent upon skills and experience.

IDEAL INDUSTRY BACKGROUND:       Humanitarian Non Profit.

EXPERIENCE:                                              Must have a proven track record of fundraising, managing and coordination of staff / sites in a similar role for 5 years.

DEMOGRAPHIC:                                         Preference will be given to BBBEE candidates.

EDUCATION DESIRED:                                A tertiary level qualification of at least 3 years preferably in Business/Program Management or similar, as well as a focus upon Finance and Resource Mobilization.

LANGUAGES:                                                English and at least 2 African languages are essential.

SKILLS:                                                            Experience in report writing – therefore must be highly computer literate with experience in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.

RELATIONSHIPS:                                         Must have worked with governmental entities, community based organizations and other non-profit stakeholders.

OVERVIEW OF SARCS

The South Africa Red Cross Society (SARCS) is a humanitarian organization that has officially existed in South Africa since 1932. The Red Cross as a movement operates in 190 countries and has approximately 97 million employees, volunteers and members worldwide. The South African society has 38 operating sites nationwide, 450 employees and 2300 paid volunteers.

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE

To manage the Province & branches that exist in Gauteng / Limpopo with a focus upon compliance, the efficient running of the branches and the ability to ensure branches remain viable and profitable.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  • Ability to manage and provide technical support and guidance to projects, different departments / branches and staff in the province.
  • Able to execute fundraising opportunities i.e. proposal writing, marketing, donor funding.
  • Develop and maintain a sustainable SARCS model in the Province and implement robust office and staff structures within the province.
  • Oversee finance and audit processes with a focus upon a clean and compliant audits and books.
  • Needs analysis.
  • Co-ordination of complex and challenging structures.
  • Building and maintaining strong community relations.
  • Travel extensively within the province and institute high functioning policies, procedures and systems.
  • Ability to initiate new projects and come up with creative solutions to sustainability.
  • Ability to strengthen and support Branch Managers and Administrators.
  • Take leadership in capacitating and developing the province.
  • Report to and support the CEO in all management aspects.
  • Any other ad hoc duties that may arise.
